Dad and the Cat and the Tree Summary:
Dad and the Cat and the Tree composed by ‘Kit Wright’ is a humorous poem. It is the poem about a funny event in which the poet’s cat stuck in the tree and his father decided to bring it down but he too, got stuck himself upon the tree.

Kit Wright says that a cat was stuck in the tree and his Dad decided to rescue it. When he was going to bring the cat down poet’s mother warned him but he was overconfident that he ignored her warnings.

The poet says that his father had to make severed trials in order to save the cat. The first time he fell in the garden as the ladder slipped. The second time he tried to climb up the tree but the branch broke and he fell down of the ground. Finally he climbed up the wall of the garden and jumped on the tree. But unfortunately he landed straight on the cat. The cat yelled but jumped down safely. Dad got stuck himself upon the tree in place of the cat!
